Yes. You can use the app as a guest. Your data is stored locally and tied to your device. If you uninstall the app without linking your data to a Google or Apple account first, it cannot be recovered. We recommend signing in to keep your data safe.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link. If you signed in with Google or Apple, your password is managed by those services — use their account recovery flows.
You can delete your account directly in the app:
Your profile, watchlists, ratings, and tops will be permanently deleted within 30 days. If you're unable to access the app, email us at bunkalist@gmail.com with subject "Delete my account" and we'll process it manually.
Go to Settings → Privacy & Data and toggle Public Profile. When your profile is public, other users can see your Tops lists. Your watchlist and ratings are always private.
Premium unlocks additional features beyond the free tier. The exact features included in your plan are shown on the paywall screen within the app before purchase.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. You must cancel through them:

No. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are separate and do not transfer between platforms. If you switch from iOS to Android (or vice versa), you'll need to purchase a new subscription on the new platform and cancel the old one to avoid double billing.
We collect the minimum data needed to run the app: your account info (if signed in), your watchlists and ratings, anonymous analytics, and crash reports. We do not collect your location, contacts, or photos. We never sell your data. For full details, read our Privacy Policy.

No. Bunkalist does not show ads and does not use third-party advertising networks. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

All content metadata is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB). If you notice an error (wrong poster, missing info, incorrect cast), you can help fix it by contributing directly to TMDB at themoviedb.org. Updates from TMDB will appear in Bunkalist automatically.
Tap your avatar in the app to open your profile. From there you can edit your display name and upload a profile picture from your photo library.
